So this might help. I'll give step by step with pictures. There is only one step that i only found by accident.
1) split screen on IDrive screen
2) tap right split with finger (crazy but it works)
3) scroll down to clock
4) click IDrive knob and ✅

All digital dash cars should have had the analog clock option, but some 2017 cars (mine was one) had the option missing due to a s/w error.

I had a s/w update in 2018 and gained the analog clock option afterwards.

AP - You also had the s/w update if I remember from one of your previous threads; have you tried looking for the analog clock option since the update? That fixed mine, it was the first thing I looked for after the update.

I will have to check. I certainly remember not finding that option when new and reading about some people )like me) not having the option to change it. Yes did have a software update but didn't bother checking as I personally prefer the digital clock but will in the interest of this forum , have a look tonight to see if the update made any changes as regards this.

Just checked. as the option for analogue or digital is there. buried right at the end of the menu.
I now have my doubts as to whether I missed it first time round or whether the software update fixed it.
Anyway , its there now.

When I went to Time/Date via iDrive only choices I had were Time Zone, Auto DST, date. Nothing about Analog clock - my sw must need updating.

Not necessarily. Check in this menu pathway.

Its very possible that it was missing at first - You got your car in 2017 like I did mine, I remember you had not yours that long when mine arrived. If mine was missing and it was only just slightly newer than yours, its likely that yours was the same.

Ok, got the analog clock face to show up on the split screen, now trying to get it to show up on instrument cluster. Thanks to all who have replied.

I have the top one so that is why I can’t get it on my cluster. Still love my 540i though
