Stage 2 E30 bm3 tune ‘18 M550i

Mind you, I have only done 1 run on Dragy since tuning the car, so take the numbers with a grain of salt. Posting my best stock runs and the 1 tuned run (this run was also done after driving about 30 miles on the highway, so that could be taken into consideration). Posting up because I haven’t really seen many folks running bm3’s tune with our cars yet. Open to feedback, thoughts, etc.

Only mod done to the car is 🐱less DPs. Swapped out the stock plugs to NGK 97506’s, put Liqui Moly 5W-30 in it, and put K&N drop-ins. That’s it. Nothing else.

Both runs were also done in the same exact location.

How do you like the tune? Is it reliable? Just picked up my 2019 M550i currently looking for stage 2 tunes.

I haven't found a place yet that I'm comfortable doing this with, but I'm always on the lookout. Once I have them, I'll be happy to post. My initial feeling is that it's in the 8 second range, but I can't be sure.

So far, I've had no issues since posting this. Of course, it means I have to do E30 every time I fill up, but I knew that going in, and where I'm at has plenty of options for that, so it's not a super big deal.

Not a 100-200, but a 60-130, and only invalid because of low satellite. Ran last night, and not the most ideal of conditions.

How do you like it so far? I ran bM3 on my last car(4 series) loved it . But don't see much out there for The m550 . I'm running the DINAN tune now and definitely looking for something more .. I have 🐱less Downpipes res delete drop ins , lowered and plugs ..

Anyone have “inside” information on when a tune, preferably BM3, will be released for the 2021+ M550i? Taking so long for them to crack the Ecu.

Depends on options...1800kg for a car without rear steer and active anti-roll. Closer to 1900kg with it. About the same as current AWD M3.

JB4 is the only option atm, and I haven't heard any updated information regarding the DME being unlocked for the LCI models.

I'm very close to going to an E50 tune, but I want to get some 'final' runs in before doing so. If those runs are better than the above, I'll post results. I still need to get a good 60-130, too.
