If you can, lose what you can (value wise) of these :- -Comfort access -Display key -Soft close doors -Remote control parking And add VDC ! You won't regret it, trust me, I'm a doctor Lastly, lumbar support... not expensive but I wish I had added that

I didn't see an option for lumbar support, is this included with the comfort seating? I wanted the massaging seats but to get them I would of had to have purchased the comfort seats ( usual options trick ) so I decided against it in the end, hope i dont regret it lol. |

Soft close doors? Do you have lots of passengers getting in and out all the time?
I'd ask how often you're going to use the features. You're buying 4x soft close mechanisms and you'll probably only use one of them. You only close the doors when you get in and when you get out, which compared to something like HK which is on all the time it seems like a really low value add on. When you're in the car you can't really tell what it's doing, when you're leaving the car you've probably turned your back and won't appreciate what it's doing. I'd spend my money on something else. The same argument applies to comfort access, part of the show experience, not the driving experience. Just my opinion as you did ask. Good luck and enjoy whatever you go with.

You've got anti dazzle mirrors and parking assist plus (includes reverse camera) and comfort access. Why not just go with comfort package?
Actually you've got electric seats too. So that's 695+335+895= 1925. But you'll get 200 off your parking assist plus so effectively you'll save 2125 but comfort package costs 1995 and you get the lumbar support too in that! Ok so that's 130 saved and lumbar support added for free. Now drop soft close doors (435), steering wheel heating (185) and you've saved on total 750 to choose a nicer option? I'd add HUD I think - 995. Clearly a very nice option.

Why is steering wheel heating so unpopular. It is cheap and standalone. Probably the most gratifying feature on my G30, keeping my hands warm in the cold.

Can't you just heat the car remotely now?

In any case. Mr Dan the man must be pleased with saving £130 and gaining lumbar support just by taking the comfort pack!

I actually got the comfort support and the remote parking for free from the dealership as when i asked for the parking assist plus they told me remote parking was included, but when i contacted them and told them i don't think it is they added it on for me free of charge! The soft close doors was more my partners idea as we are expecting a little on and she said we wouldn't have to slam the doors then Also the electric front seats and memory, have electric seats always been an additional option? i would have assumed electric moving seats would have been standard on this type of vehicle. |

I would definitely stretch to comfort seats if I was ordering an MSport and was already prepared to pay for electric seats and lumbar support.
VDC was essential on an F10 MSport but I'd now class it as "probably a good idea if you want to hedge your bets" on the G30, I have been surprised how much better the passive MSport rides. HK is a good call. Drop other options as necessary. |

I test drove two G30s before I ordered, one with and one without VDC, drove the non VDC first. ( I have had adaptive drive on my last and current F10s)
I would very strongly suggest you ask your dealer to get you a drive of a car with VDC. Without it, the rides good, but always feels a little unsettled, with VDC it's superb.

Remote does ventilate the car with cool air (not conditioned, just recycled), which = cooling only... unless you add the auxiliary heater option you won't get a warm, toasty car

OK, that pretty much ties in with my experience then. The MSport one with VDC will actually be normal SE springs and SE ride height plus adaptive dampers. Between those two, I agree that the one with VDC is definitely the one to have.
I think you have to go M550i or above to get some combination of lowered suspension and adaptive dampers. |
