xDrive or Adaptive Drive?

Which one you prefer to have the xDrive or the Adaptive Drive, if you have to chose one of them only in 540i? and why?

If you need 4wd I would chose X-drive.

For me xdrive allows me to put my foot down off the line and get acceleration without any wheel spin. In my previous rwd car it was too easy to spin the wheels.
So if you want to get off the line quickly with next to no effort , that is a consideration.
( I have a 540i)

If one lives in Dubai arguably you'd also think one also doesn't need adaptive drive. However there are those loooong looping highway turns etc. I imagine adaptive would suit better than x in the Middle East roads. I found the prado we hired struggled with the roll when going around those loops and I think the adaptive suspension would set you up nicely for that.

Like AP says unless you're worried about being quick off the mark in Dubai wouldn't worry about x drive on normal roads...

Good to see several UK users with (or getting) Adaptive Drive. Anyone compared AD in the G30/31, to the F10/11 AD system? Is the ARS function in the G30/31, better and faster reacting (as BMW state) than the hydraulic ARS in previous cars?

Sorry Pete never drove the f10 with adaptive. My brother's f11 had variable suspension settings but not the adaptive drive option.
