Washer Fluid Question

What does everyone use for washer fluid? I just got low warning on mine.

I was going to go with Rain-X 2 in 1 (de-icer and bug one) but based on a quick search it seems like the newer BMW is not suppose to use Rain X as it damage the washer level sensor.

And looks like it's more than BMW (see class action below)
https://www.classaction.org/rain-x-l...2C%20Rain,Audi

There is the usual pre-mix version (83-19-2-221-702)

https://www.amazon.com/BMW-831922217...omotive&sr=1-4

edit: also anyone know how big the washer fluid tank is, like I just got a low warning how much do I have to buy to fill up?
and the mixed version(83-19-2-361-205)

https://www.amazon.com/BMW-Windshiel.../dp/B07G4L2TGD

* I know the price is not the best but just reference for now

I much prefer the pre-mixed version because I'm 10 minutes walking to my garage. I can't find the temperature rating for the pre-mixed version though, anyone who has a bottle know?

I haven't filled mine up yet. When I last got the warning I stopped by the dealer and had them top it up since they had just noted they topped up my fluids when I went in...

When I last checked though the price at the dealer parts window is actually cheaper than Amazon for the BMW fluid so I'll pick that up if I need to top up early.

The manual does note not to use products like Rain-X.

yea if you buy bottle in person "anywhere" it's waaay cheaper, though surprised temperature rating is also not on BMW official website for the pre-mixed version...

For washer fluid capacity...check your owners manual. Sometimes it's listed and sometimes it's not. My f06 6 series manual lists a little over a gallon for washer fluid & headlamp washer system. My f15 X5 manual doesn't list a capacity but does mention a minimum of 1 liter (which makes no sense).

The problem is with the keys, as they are fan jets they can block up.
Thus as he caused by bacteria or a reaction with different washer fluids, where the fluid can thicken and become jelly like.

I either swing by the dealer's service garage where a tip to the guy will prevent me from even getting out of my car; or I buy a gallon bottle of generic blue stuff for $3. No need to over think this.

I was explicitly told by the service advisor ( with whom we are also friends) to fill with regular blue stuff. I have been doing it for years with Zero issues.
