LMAO, the sub is fine. It is the plastic cover up shit underneat the car making all the noise. It sounds like I have a system in an old ford escort lol. WTF well now I need to fix that.

i just realized that both my subs are blown does any one know i can just replace them with another brand or do i have to put bmw ones back in there.

rock is just as bad as the rap and actualy i blew mine out the first time i took the gangsta rap out and put the rock in so it dont matter wat u listen to.

Check under the car, that plastic stuff that covers up the bottom of the car is making a lot of noise. It makes it sound like the sub is blown but it's not. Open your door with the music on and you will see what i mean. Thats whats wrong with mine. It is crazy.

Is there a fix for that scottz, or are you just dealing with it? I imagine just tightening it would fix the problem.

Also, it's extremely hard to blow out your speakers especially if the amp is not ridiculously overpowering the speakers. Speakers are pretty tough.

I think I will take the panel off and put some foam between the car and the plastic. I am just to lazy and its way to hot in NJ to work on it right now.

btw there is nothing wrong with listening to rap in a beemer, most people that listen to rap have better flow any way (unless you play an instrument and like other music then i give you props). Rock will blow your tweeters while rap will blow ur subs.... well posibly anyway..

Subwoofers think rap music is tame compared to "deep bass" tracks. I rolled next to some thugs bumping rap in a Cadillac, playing my bass tracks. They feared me and made sure to avoid eye contact. I made their windows rattle and some parts had bass so low you can't even hear it - can only feel it deep in your gut.

Bass Mekanik, Bass 3030, P.O.F., Basswerks, damn. There are a bunch of good groups but I can't remember them all. They will kill your ears before your woofers blow. Be warned because after listening to some of this, your car will have more rattlin' going on. It's like putting your car through an earthquake.
