FUEL TANK COVER POT replacement

Has anyone done a fuel tank cover pot replacement?
Getting quoted $600 from the dealer.
Seeing the part is around $100.

I watched a youtube vid and it looked a little sketchy prying it out. I'm most worried about paint damage.

Update - should have done it myself.
Service department hacked up the paint.
