2018 540 has developed the problem where passenger side blows cold air with AC on and drivers side is blowing hot air. I have purchased a new servo motor but have not pulled the old one.

Is this a straight forward swap or will I need something special to calibrate or home the motor after replacement? I see very generic pages that mention disconnecting battery for 5 minutes but not sure if this is correct for my car.

Any advice appreciated would like to not damage the new part.
