good to know, maybe next time the process should be put those 3M thing on first then wrap with XEPL on the bumper (of course the guy then has to cut out holes for it)

If my lap timer doesn't come off my BMW S1000RR during competition using 3M Dual Lock, you certainly won't have any trouble with a license plate.

It's a good product for any almost application.

oh I trust you, though temperature variation would be another thing, and not sure about over XPEL this time, but definitely will try that first next time...

off topic, if you're a motorcycle guy, can't imagine you would find any car fast enough, motorcycle is more "thrilling" even if it's at low speed

It's an entirely different lifestyle than driving around town. And I live in Texas, so the heat is not a problem with this product.

Any updated solutions on this ?

I have moved from FL to VA and just cant bring myself to drill holes in the bumper therefore the front tag sits on the floor board in the passenger rear.

I do need to place it on soon, so far no real issues but no real reason to create an issue.

I am not a fan of the side mounted tow hook option.

so if anyone else has a front plate mounted please post up a picture and what brand you are using and if you had to drill holes or not.

THANKS IN ADVANCE !!!

do you have the radar on the lower part of the grill, if not I think I saw a few option

For example this

https://carbonio.com/products/bmw-m-...se-plate-mount

Won't work if you got radar

No active cruise control if that's what you are asking?

This looks like it could be a solid solution for me.

Thanks !

Go without. I've been driving without a front plate for several years now and even in NJ-istan I've only gotten one ticket.

I’ve got the US Mill Works tow hook mount on both my M3 and M550. They don’t interfere with the PDC sensors as long as you mount them correctly. The off center look is subjective, but I’ve gone through a few different brands of these types of mounts and nothing is as solid as these. If you get the quick release version they also are easy to remove for car washes etc.

Best one is from Turner Motorsports. Even with the sensors.

I have always liked StoNShow. Got one for my 2021 M550 also. Easy to remove, no drilling etc.

This is what I did with StoNShow. To the best of my knowledge, they still don't make a solution for the M550 with all camera options. All works fine for me with this. Just used the tape, no problems with ACC, etc.

They do, it’s the offset lower lip style. Which, I typically don’t like but I didn’t want to drill holes or have anything visible, as I typically run without a front plate.

Thanks. I think the lower lip looks like cheese. Never want to be "that guy " who loves his car so much it's waiting for a key from a hater.

Check out my solution.

Definitely, I hate the offset look also, but the bracket is hidden and uses stock bolts. It’s only there in case I get pulled over and I can say “just washed the car and forgot to re-install it” etc. I like your solution if you have to keep it installed etc. looks good!

Thanks and I guess the approach is whatever works for you. I thought I would be putting mine on and off a lot more. So far I only put it on twice. Once for an inspection sticker and the other to test at high speeds to make sure just the tape was secure enough. The black two hole receiver blends in well aesthetically.
