Anyone Install a Speed-Buster Piggyback Chip yet? Wiring Harness Question...
OK,
So I received a Speed-Buster Piggyback Chip for my 2019 M550i from BimmerWorld. I tried to install it over the weekend and something is not right. The instructions call for the wiring harness to be tapped into the Boost Sensors 1 and 2 as well as the Cam Sensor and of course a Power Lead. I got all that tied in but the wiring harness also has Manifold Air Sensor connections 1 and 2. There is nothing about tying into the MAF sensors or their locations in the Speed-Buster instructions and at the moment people at BimmerWorld seem miffed as well. (They thought it was just 3 connections and Power as well until they pulled out a wiring harness in stock there and seemed equally surprised about the 2 additional connection points not listed) Anyone here have any insight? Anyone else install a Speed-Buster yet? |

OK...
So first update. It has been confirmed that Speed-Buster has gone to a 5 sensor connection by adding MAF Sensor connections (2x) Looks like the best way to get to these sensors is from under the car. For me that means taking it into a shop to get it done and finish up this installation. |
