Reunited and it feels so good...New M550i
I had an e46 M3 about 12 years ago, then went through an Evo X, 2 GS350 F-Sports and a Q50 Red Sport, and am finally back to the BMW family. It was between an M550i or a S5 Sportback, but with the crappy lease rates for the S5 Sportback and not really a straight line performance upgrade over the Q50 Red Sport, the M550i was the winner for me.
Absolutely adore the car - so smooth and silky. Plan on getting the Dinan tune in a few months as well in addition to some light tints. Have not tried the launch control yet but will do it sometime this week. Last edited by modthispny; 05-16-2019 at 02:45 PM.. |

Congrats on the new ride. Nice color choice too. My 2018 came in last July and I absolutely love it. Haven't missed my 2015 M4 at all. Like you, I am thinking about the Dinan tune in the spring. Not that the car needs any more push, it's just that I want it. Typical guy thing I guess. The launch control is awesome!

thanks everyone - i still have my Q50 RS400 with a few k in miles left, so i'm driving that mostly but I can't wait to start driving the M550i more consistently in about a month or so. The benefit though is each time I drive it it feels just like the first time
