Music Hard Drive
I just picked up my new G30. Before I parted with my previous G30 I downloaded the music on the hard drive to a USB Stick in order to upload it to my new G30 like i did with the one before that. However, this time the car didn't recognise the music files. The files on the stick are in CDA format. It worked fine last year.
Anybody got any idea why it won't work? |

CDA is a file extension for a CD Audio shortcut file format. Used by Microsoft Windows to refer to audio tracks on a CD, a CDA file doesn’t contain audio but is simply a shortcut to the tracks on an audio disc.
CDA files are files created by the computer's CD drivers which point to the location of a track. That’s what I got off the internet. What’s the average file size of one of your cda files? Probably small. Do you have backups of your music on a computer somewhere? |
