Is this gap normal

Is the gap above the grille normal? If not, how do I fix it? CarÂ’s never been in an accident. It’s a G32 btw.

Definitely not normal perhaps it's the fitting/fitment of the grill, presumably that's a non one "M replica" - maybe try removing and reseating the clips on the grill to see if you can move it up a little.?

Thank you. It’s the same with the OEM grille. Would it help if I “shorten” the latches?

Can you post a top/side view? If the hood has no gaps along the fenders, it's not the hood.

You sure it's not just a shadow? the grill is very deep and gloss black, a photo from a higher angle will tell more.

Can you actually get your fingers in there?

The other design feature that doesn't look quite right to me is how the bonnet blends in with the A pillars.

Those double slat grilles are usually eBay or Amazon stuff from China. You might try installing the genuine single slat M Performance Black grilles as fitment will likely be better.

Agree... need to see what the whole of the front panel alignment is like.

Thank you for your input everyone. The oem silver grille fits with about the same gap as the black fake ones. Here’s a picture of the left side (right side us the same).

Your car looks about the same 🤔 it’s strange to have that big of a gap.

It's just an optical illusion the black grill makes it look like a huge gap exists as it extends very deep under the hood.

I got my black single slat grille from Amazon and it doesn't look to have that much of a gap. Are you sure the top tabs are clicked in all the way? I remember it taking some pressure to click all the way through.

Just realized you said yours is a G32. I looked up the G32 and it does look to have a little more of a gap than the G30 hood/grille

Still think it's just an optical illusion sun is behind and low in the sky in that photo and the grill is deep and gloss black.

Yes almost all pictures I found the g32 looks to have a wider gap than g30 which is weird because they are the same parts numbers.
