Where is a good place in the US to purchase LCI tail lights? I heard a retrofit kit was coming from BMW UK but haven't seen anything yet (and not even sure that would work on US cars).

The obvious is from the parts department at your local dealer. Not saying that will be the cheapest though….

The euro spec tails work in the US but its just the skinny amber strip that lights up as your signals versus the entire tail light.

I got the US version which disables your welcome lights (when you unlock your car, the head and tails light up for few seconds)(and when you turn off the car, the heads and tails turn off immediately vs staying on for few seconds)

Its just the OEM tails and rain guards. Any additional wiring is for you to handle.

I have seen a few pics of these installed on some Facebook groups. I wonder about the quality of the match and light illumination vs. OEM. From the few pics I have seen, the lighting seems off from OEM. I can't comment on the match of the plastic, but I am curious to see more pictures. In general, aftermarket i.e. Chinese, doesn't hold a candle to OEM. I personally would spend $250 more for the real deal, plus $150 coding. So $400 more for OEM. The wiring for the Euro's is a simple jump from inner pin 4 to outer pin 1 splice.
