2015 M4 just arrived... 10 weeks early but not the car I ordered!!

I just got back from the dealership... my M4 just arrived

I had ordered a MW car with a week 29 build and a hopeful delivery of late August. I had been really struggling with the color decision... flip flopping between Austin Yellow, Sakhir Orange, Yas Marina Blue and Mineral White. Mineral white was my "safe" choice and I was having a VERY hard time picking a different color without seeing it in person but my gut kept telling me to not go white and be a bit bolder... but I was afraid.

I was a bit down that I was going to miss the entire summer without the car so I asked my dealer to see if there was anything out there similarly spec'd out to my car... I wasn't hopeful. WELL....

Got a call 4 hours ago that they found an Austin Yellow M4 fully loaded with full Merino leather. The only difference to the car I had on order was external and internal color. It was at the Autoport in Halifax and was for dealer stock somewhere else in Canada. The GM of the dealership and I took a drive to the Autoport and they brought the car out for us to look at... I told him I couldn't decide without seeing it.

As soon as I saw the car, I fell in love with the color. They released the car to us and we took it back to the dealership for PDI.

Austin Yellow is nowhere near as "loud" as it looks in pictures. It is a deeper color with a variety of shades. It really shows the lines of the car and looks great with the black roof and wheels.

I'm extremely excited that we got this lucky. Instead of a 10 week wait (assume no delays), I'll have the car Monday... sooner if I wasn't travelling tomorrow for a wedding

I am so happy I'll get to drive it this summer and will get to the track with it... hopefully at least 6 time once I get through break-in.

Deceiving thread title... For those of us waiting for our cars, NOT COOL, NOT COOL. I thought your week 29 production car arrived 10 weeks early... I started getting really excited being that I am week 28 prod.

Anyway, congrats on the Phoenix gold, I mean Austin yellow M4.

even with the deceptive title! I agree that AY in person is quite stunning versus the photos. It catches your eye right away, and you have no doubt as to what it is. Enjoy that head turner!

For some reason, that color looks best from the rear view. Its the best color from that perspective I have seen. Enjoy the car, I know you've been patiently waiting for it.

With that much track time, and especially with that color, I'd have opted for the CCB. No brainer there.

Absolutely, IMO. We drove to the Autoport in a 435i without the full leather and it is night and day difference IMO. Whether that is worth it to you or not is subjective.
