I recently installed the Vstar version on Alibaba with standard length rod, would be interesting if I can lower the height with the short rod kit without replacing the knob. The Vstar shifter was easy to install and excellent quality.

The rod kit came in its own separate box so it's likely they are able to sell it on its own. I would contact them and ask!

Did you purchase from the vendor in your link (AliExpress) and did it come in Vstar box? I purchased mine from Zhejiang Vstar Auto Accessories on Alibaba. A bit confusing as there are many vendors selling different versions but Vstar appears to be the best quality.

Yeah I did. I chose them based on their review history. They packaged and shipped out fast too.

They appear to be a reseller but the product is genuine Vstar.

It seems that the installation video in this link requires only removing the gear shift knob and then installing a new one, which is of the short type. https://a.co/d/1o0Wyjm
