from the pictures it just seems like it tapes wherever you place it. I haven't really checked but there is a small gap at the top when the shade is in place so it may see through.

Does anyone know what the square plastic sticker is for and what the brown/copper sticker with a wire is for on the inside?

I believe the square sticker is to close the hole if you don’t have high bean detection.

The cooper one looks like it has circuit traces, not sure if that is left over from manufacturing or something else.

I have the same as you. I am not sure it should be covered. Here is a question from Amazon and the answer from the seller:

What is the large rectangle hole in the camera housing for? Also what is the black adhesive square for?

Hello, if the original car has an automatic beam. Then there is no need to cover the square hole. If not, it can be covered with tape

I think I will just leave the square hole open.

The copper sticker is the WiFi antenna.

If you have forward facing cameras you won't have a high beam sensor, so that square hole will be open and you use the black plastic to cover it. Otherwise you have a giant hole that will clearly be visible looking into the front of the car.

Rear camera has been talked about before. Plenty of room for it with the power sunshade.

Ok, thanks for the details, I do have the 360 surround cameras.

How did you run wire from rear to front to connect the dashcam?

When I ran the wires for my dash cam, I was able to sneak the wires up behind the headliner by peeling back the molding over the front and rear passenger doors. I had to use a coat hanger to fish the wires over the front seat belt. You can remove the front A-pillar trim easily enough, and you can fish or squeeze the wire behind the rear pillar trim and headliner above the rear window. It wasn't too hard to do.

Kinda thinking about getting one of these... Is the consensus still that this is the best OEM looking solution for the G30?

Yup. I have it for a while and no complaints. Just get a good, high quality micro sd card.
I have a referral link for anyone that needs!

I've had mines for about 3 weeks now and like most, no problems so far. It was a pain to install in you have big hands.

I'm thinking about ordering this FITCAMX dash cam because I'm liking that oem fit. However, it looks like if using a radar detector (R4) + blend mount, the dash cam would be in the way. Has anyone coupled this with a Radar Detector+blend mount that is also mirror tapped? I assume you can still wire tap a radar detector together with this dash cam but just want to make sure.

UPDATE: I ordered this for myself and for my wife's car as well. Going to install it first then mirror tap the Uniden R4s for each. Not sure which mount I am going to use. Will decide once the dashcams are installed.

CONFIRMED: You can wiretap in addition to the FITCAMX.
