Be serious....the new S6 looks like every other Audi still. Audi hasn't come out with anything great in awhile now. Their cars all look the same. The new 5 is going to look great...

Meh I don't get the E60 hate I'd have it over any other 5 series that all look like 5% enlarged copies of each other. Maybe when I'm double my age I'll like conservative designs more but at 23 I'd prefer something sexy over subtle.

0-100km/h in 4 flat, that is equivalent to 0-62m/h so 0-60 would be under 4sec

No, you're not the only one. I see it too, got flamed when I pointed this out a few months ago or when ever the unveiling was.

The M badges are corney AF. I hate all the added unnecessary trim on this car. It should be called the 550xi and have no chrome painted plastic bits alla Hyundai.

I would respectfully disagree- there is a slight but nice roundness to the A6/S6 that the other models just dont have. The top character line slopes down slightly as it gets to the end of the car, the other cars are much more linear the front air dam inlet vents are almost BMW-ish like on my 435 GC MSport. The top of the trunk lid also slopes slightly at each end- to me it is perfect Proportion- with 20's maybe some 15mm spacers- they always make things look better. In person it is very solid IMO

Thanks Marius.

Another question.
Windows contours are black so it looks like shadow line.
But how come the front doors airvents (the golf clubs) and front bumper adornments are chrome/aluminium rather than black, like in luxury line.

Is it possible to mix the two ?
Thought it was either all black or all chrome/aluminium.

The finish on the grill, mirror caps, airvents, and the M550i lettering in the rear are called Cerium Grey.
It's an exclusive finish for the M Performance models.

Looks great, but I'm so picky that I wouldn't buy it simply because of those awful exhaust tips. If it's supposedly a sporty version, then put big round tips over the tailpipes. These look like they come from a Lexus or Caddy.

I agree with you - the E60 is a killer design that still holds up, but it absolutely requires the right factory options. The basic/plain level E60's look a little old and frumpy, but the Sport package cars still look fresh to this day.

I took this cell photo of my car on Thanksgiving Day - it's 8 years old with 130k miles. Stock suspension, only 'mods' are the lip spoiler and wheels. I actually got a comment on it this morning at the gas station:

Thanks remmib.
So in regular shadow line M Sport package, all these would be black as well correct ?

And any car this big will simply not be the "ultimate driving machine".
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, of course, but I simply couldn't stand the interior of the A6 I sat in. Way too busy and felt a little gimmicky. Granted it was a 2015 so no idea if it's changed much since then, and I've always been more comfortable with BMW interiors.

I like the A6's lights, but aside from that the exterior doesn't do much for me. And, if price was my sole concern on a car, I guess I wouldn't be shopping for an Audi or a BMW in the first place. Cut rate semi-luxury cars can be found over at the Genesis store.

exactly, when you order shadowline it“s all black - or you can choose the chrome line.

With the G30 it is possible to cancel this from the factory

For example a dealer presentation car that isnĀ“t produced yet. Look at the fender (I know thatĀ“s a 540i):

Model 540i - USA
Development Code G30
Chassis LIM
Steering LL
Doors 4
Engine B58M
Displacement 3.00
Power 250
Drivetrain HECK
Transmission AUT
Color Bluestone Metallic - C2Y
Upholstery Excl.leder Nappa/el.we. Exk./ked.i. - LZFI
Production Plant DINGOLFING
Production Date 0001-01-01

...
3DZ without additional designation outside

Pretty much, the surrounding of the grill will still be chrome though, and the mirror caps same color as the exterior paint.

I don't know man I just went to a car show here in Texas and got to sit in C63 AMG, S6, M4, 550 (Current Gen) and I didn't know that Audi or BMW is "cut rate" luxury- vs a $ 250k Aston Martin well probably but for the 70-85k they are not "Cut rate" (The BMWs while functional is boring) But the Audi is masterful and as "luxury" goes the materials are second to none- the MERCEDES to me with its tack
ed on looking Android $ 30 pad tacked on screen looked like crap (The machined aluminum Burmester stereo speaker covers though were awesome). And seeing the car in person and compared to the new A4 (Which is VERY bland) the S6 is muscular in its own way and to me just looks fantastic in and out- and at 450 HP 420 lb. ft. getting 0-60 in 4.2 (.1 quicker than M2?) with 4 wheel drive is just the cherry on top.
