this is ridiculous! Mine is back at Order Received days before week 13 production was still scheduled .... weeks have gone by and still order received and no estimated production week can be given!

Small update per Genius:

I am still week 18 even though it went to status 150 last week, estimated completion sometime in the week of May 22-28. They did tell me that wait time for Individual paint is built-in to this production estimate, so there shouldn't be any extra holdup for paint booth.

Additionally they tell me there are no recalls/stop sales attached to my car, and that they are not seeing these port holds for the majority of cars shipping now.

If this schedule stays firm, I'm thinking early July delivery

I’m a newbie to this forum, but I ordered my M550i fully loaded in December 2021 and it arrived at the dealer yesterday. Collection is Monday. I feel blessed with a relatively quick build/delivery period - photos to follow

Grats. I ordered mine in early feb so July delivery seems about right. That’s an old ass 2022..

I don’t think it has the iTouch controller - this is the only deviation to the spec I ordered

I checked production/delivery regularly with BMW Genius (we can’t track online in UK) and they were very helpful

Been bumped back another two weeks to week 21 now, not unexpected, but apparently its a fluid situation still.
Individual 545E with a few options ticked.

Ordered 12/31/2021. Car was fully loaded. Every option.

Build was completed and car sitting at port 3/28.

Car has still been sitting at the port in Germany. Called BMWNA again today and they said it's still sitting there with no estimated time to leave. It has not been assigned a boat yet.

This would be making it down south to the Brunswick port in GA to come to Atlanta.

Is anyone else's car sitting at the port waiting? I feel bad for y'all who's cars production got delayed, but can't believe mine has been just sitting there for nearly a month!

that is a shocker! probably more or just as stressful as the car not even getting built...everything really is a mess at the moment.

Damn, yeah I am hoping bmw can resolve some of these delays by the time my car starts rolling off the line.

I keep up with dealer inventory here in the northeast and I have started seeing a lot of custom builds for sale. When I speak with a SA, they almost always confirm that it was custom and was canceled late due to delays.

But obviously, the dealers have marked these vehicles up astronomically so they are sitting on their lots.

Yes, but has since left on the Olympian Highway on 7 April. It sat at the factory for 7 weeks, then at the port for 3 weeks. It's stopping in Baltimore this Friday, then on to Brunswick hopefully next week.

It does seem that the shipping schedule has slowed, maybe due to fewer cars ready for transport. So they wait until there is a full load. Leaving Bremerhaven, the ship stopped in Belgium for 1.5 days and then UK for 1 day. So it may be a combined total for all manufacturers not being ready to make a full load.

what!!! 1 year? Just go buy a Mercedes at this point..lol. The Amg53 is a mild hybrid and has a real nice exhaust.

I simply canceled my order now. By the time my car will actually be produced the news about the next gen 5 series will be hot and heavy. Based on the new 7 series interior there is a lot to love waiting the extra year.

I hear you. The counterpoint is I'm driving BMWs for 26 years. I attribute part of my continued success with the brand being that I NEVER buy/lease first year production of a new body. And with emphasis when the new body includes all new powertrains too. My 2 cents on it.
