M550i vs. X5 M

Hey Guys!

I'm currently in a dilemma of "what car to choose" and I thought I'd take your opinions! I'm currently looking at an X5 M and an M550i. I drive a 2017 X6 xDrive50i and the new car will be a second car to use. I don't know which one to choose! I love both! I'm also looking at a Range Rover Sport but everyone tells me that's a bad choice. I'm planning on keeping my X6 for a long time! I definitely will not get an X6 M when I have an X6.

Another thing is, I'm worried an X5 M would be somewhat boring because it'll have almost the same interior as my X6!

The M550i sounds like a good choice because it's all new, and has more advanced technology and safety systems!
What do you guys think?

I'm planning on buying the M5 somewhere else, I travel often between 2 cities so I'm planning on keeping the M5 at the other place

Whatever you do don't buy the Tata. Sorry, I mean Range Rover.

the tata is pretty common here, and I drove the fullsize one, felt numb and dull, but I liked it. Something I'd cruise in without being tempted to go full throttle like I do in my X6 often

I actually am considering going for the Tata and waiting until the all new X5 or until the all new X3 arrives here

M550i should be pretty good: almost as fast as the F10 M5, but new tech 👍

This will come down to personal preference, I believe.
To me, having an SUV to back up an SUV would be redundant, but to each his own.

FWIW, I am loving the M550 as a daily driver

Any further details about how your 550 is as a daily driver?

I'd say 550 in this case. Newest generation BMW in all ways. Reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. Looks amazing and interior even looks fantastic to me. I wish there were more of a color range both interior and exterior, but otherwise everything else is fantastic.

In case you haven't seen it, this is an excellent in depth review of the 550:

I'd also go with the M550...... the X5 is going to be completely redone in under a year. Plus the M550 is a best of both worlds, latest technology and FAST.

This Range Rover interior just looks sad...

Personally, if I would be choosing two super cars to drive in different locations, it would the new M5 + Panamera. This way you never get bored, completely different cars, yet both fantastic.
