Wondering if anyone could help as I'm a bit clueless when it comes to paint types and codes.

I'm looking at getting a touch up kit to touch up a couple of small chips, I typed my paint code (A90) in on the website and it gives me two potential options:

DARK GRAPHITE METALLIC(A90)
SOPHISTO GRAY PEARL(A90)

The pack from the dealership states 'Colour: Sophisto Grey'

I assumed it was a metallic paint rather than pearl but I'm not particularly knowledgeable so might be wrong. Does it matter which I go with, are they actually different?

Yeh Sophisto grey is the same as dark graphite

Dark graphite the name for paint code a90 in the US ( and possibly other markets not sure) and Sophisto grey is the name given to it in at least Europe
You may also see Sophisto grey a90 called xirallic although that terms seems to have Ben dropped now

Also fyibrhere was a b90 paint code with is the same colour but was used whilst the paint factory in Japan was out of use due to the tsanmi some years back

Thanks AP that is helpful, and just to be clear, does it matter whether I select 'Pearl' or 'Metallic'? I assume that the touch up kits don't differ between these anyhow?

I’ve never seen this colour referred to as pearl before.

So no ideas on that . I’d have though the paint code if a90 should suffice ? That’s what will be on the tag on the car .

Yeah that confused me, I thought it would be enough to just use the paint code but got the two options attached.

I think I'll just go with the top one (Dark Graphite Metallic (A90)) as I'm pretty sure it is just metallic paint.
