2020 G30 530i 19 inch wheels

I am thinking about upsizing from 18 inch to 19 inch. has anyone done this and what is your opinion on the ride quality?

This is what I was looking at. I bit sportier.

I love those wheels. Very nice.

I have 19" from the factory. The ride quality is fine. I think you'll like them. I've had it about a year and haven't had any issues or complaints.

I have the 18 inch 634 rims and they just seem to busy, to many spokes. 5 double spokes looks more sportier I think.

Gotcha. I've got 19" 635 wheels (non m sport model). They also have a lot of spokes but they're thinner and the way they meet in the center gives some contrast to break them up. Not to sound biased but I like them better than the 634 look.

I really like the direction you're thinking. They will look great. I wonder if you can get a BMW center cap on them. Wouldn't be a big deal, just always curious about that.

I have the 19" 635 wheels too and, completely subjective, the ride quality, quietness and handling is very good. No complaints or issues at all.

OEM offset is 30mm these wheels are 35 mm. Hope I don't need to use spacers.

Putting P7 AS3 Pirelli's on it as well. Not run flat. From what I've read run flats give a bit of a harsher ride.

I would switch to non run flat but I don't want to carry a spare because I use the trunk. I don't want to be caught stranded on the highway, and I drive out of down often enough to worry about it.

My sentiments EXACTY! My wife thinks she needs to pack 2 outfits per day on our trips ! I keep threatening to rent an SUV for vacations!

I have 669m 20's with factory run flats. No complaints on ride quality. 2,400 miles on it…so maybe talk to me in 6 months?

Have hit some standard pot holes and it wasn't too jarring.

I have 19" for summer and 18 for winter.
There isn't any major comfort difference between the 2 setups. Both sets are on RFT's and I personally wouldn't put non RFT's for safety reasons.

Those are beautiful wheels! I have 19x8.5 (ET25) square set up on my 2022 M550i, and opted for 245/45/19s all around. Very comfy ride quality, and the bit of extra sidewall from 245/40s fills in the fenders very nicely.

Did you change your settings in the idrive for going from factory staggered to square?

No, I didn't....am I supposed to? I went into the menu and I don't believe I saw a staggered vs square setup option, it just asked what tires I was running on 19" wheels, and I selected "other".
