sounds about right. but note- even after its build it takes some time to get to the port and then some time to leave the port.

From what my guy said, it goes into this status a week or so before they actually start building it. Mine flipped a few days back and he had 10/17 as date of build completion. Then we enter the long wait for train ride to port and trip across the pond...

Did you get a date for yours?

Thanks spoke with my sales rep he told the car should be complete by the 19th of this month and of all goes well the car should be here by the end of November.

Status is now "151 - Body Shop Started". It's beginning to come into existence, no longer just a VIN or order sheet entry! lol

Could that be normal? From what I'm reading in the sticky about status codes, I'm guessing in transit means it's on the train going to port?

mine was at the port, then in transit (dealer said it’s on the boat) then at port, transit again.

FINALLY making some progress. Was supposed to be completed today the 19th. Maybe it is and the site is behind a little don't know. But all I know is that this baby is almost here!!

Yeah, the actual assembly went by super fast. It's all the before and after stages that seem to take the longest. I was concerned about getting stuck at awaiting carrier assignment status like many others on the forums. So it was quite a relief to see it move passed that status today.

I know was surprise, fingers crossed let's hope the rest of the journey goes just as smoothly. Hoping to get this around the same time my brother picks up his X5 M50. But those are built stateside. He was given a December pickup time frame.

He's most likely going to get his earlier. My dad also ordered an X3 M40i couple of days before I did and ended up getting week 40 production, a week earlier than mine. He just picked it up from the dealer this Saturday while mine hadn't even finished building. I think the boat trip across the pond is the longest part of the wait... if everything goes without a snag.

I'm in Maryland, outside DC... probably not far from where you are. The car is coming into port at Baltimore.
