Yes! Finally made it to port!

Was a bit concerned it might have fallen off the train or something, was stuck on 190 - Dispatched from factory for a week.

Sept 8 - Placed order, assigned build week 41 (status 111)
Sept 30 - In production queue, VIN assigned (150)
Oct 13 - Body assembly begins (151)
Oct 14 - In paint booth (152)
Oct 17 - Assembly in progress (153)
Oct 18 - Awaiting Career Assignment (182)
Oct 19 - Dispatched from Factory (190)
Oct 27 - At the Port (193)

Now on to waiting to see which ship it gets on...

Some possibilities on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen ships are Tamerlane (10/29), Thermopylae (11/3), and Morning Lynn (11/9):

I'm thinking it's possible that things got backed up either at port or on the way there with the trains. If that's the case, it would make sense for yours to sit in the previous status until the backlog clears at the other stages.

With the status change on mine, I'm guessing things are moving again. So hopefully you're going to also see an update soon.

Mine just updated to in transit this morning. Called my sales rep and he told me the GREAT news that the ship departed on the 24th of Oct and is due to dock in Brunswick, GA on the 8th of November.

So mid November it should be at the dealership.

Yup!! When I spoke with my sales rep. He was surprised too that she is just chugging along thru the process. Hopefully there aren't any delays once she gets stateside.

is it just me or did they remove the blue brakes option for the 2023 M550i? I see some of the build pictures on this posting has it, so wondering if they removed it from bmwusa.com recently?

They're blue as the standard option. The red ones come with the Shadowline option which gives you red calipers, black trim pieces, and shadowline lights.

gotcha! prior to 23 you had a choice regardless of package.

Yeah, the only way I could get shadowline along with the blue calipers was to go with base option and then add the "Extended Shadowline Trim" stand alone option separately. Which means I don't get the Shadowline lights, which I'm hoping is going to be alright. I just didn't want the red calipers.

Yeah I called my sales rep and he told me that my car actually left on the 24th from Bremerhaven on the Donington. Will be in Brunswick by the 8th of Nov with a pit stop in Baltimore on the 4th.

I've been watching the port like a hawk and checking out every ship's destinations. Missed out on getting onto Orion Highway which would have made it to Baltimore around Nov 13th. Now looking at THERMOPYLAE parked at port and hoping my car gets on it. That would leave port tomorrow and get the car states side around Nov 20th. Keeping fingers crossed!

Hopefully your car gets loaded up. Right now all we can do is wait and hope that the time goes quickly. This is the worst part of the process. Knowing you are soo close yet soo far.

So I got a couple of bits of info that really made my day.

First one is that my car is now officially on a boat and in transit! It's on the Orion Highway scheduled to get to Baltimore mid-Nov, around the 15th.

Second thing is that it was at port in Zeebrugge and not Bremerhaven. That explains the longer train ride. I had assumed it was in Bremerhaven and did not make it onto this particular ship. Glad that was the case!

Nice!! Congrats!!! You should call your sales rep and he should be able to to give you some more detailed info. Probably wait a day. He should be able to tell you what ship it is on and when its due to port. That way you more accurate idea of when the car will be there.

Congratulations! My car is still stuck at the factory "awaiting carrier assignment". I can only guess it is due to some missing parts.
