How to use BMW Apps with iDrive 6.0 Android

Hi,

I just got a 530e and don't know how to use Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music etc.. on connected drive for Android. How do you do it?

I simply select Spotify as the audio source on iDrive and it plays (phone needs to be connected ofc)

Wait, ID6 doesn't do Android Auto. How are you accomplishing this?

you can use the AAIDrive app.

Not thrilled that I have to purchase the ConnectedApp subscription but I'll give 'er a go.

oh just a little info. There is an android app called anyautoaudio(no longer supported) that can allow you to play any audio through your idrive. It still works even though they don't update it anymore. its a sideload 3rd party app.

Nevermind. It just randomly started working on its own. Apps checkbox appeared and Spotify, et al is listed, now.
