Illuminated grill???
I had no idea this was an option or will be an option.
Personally, not feeling this at all, but are all the big grill lovers also into illuminating said grill? I can get on board w/ the G87 & G8x grills/styling mostly bc the rest of the car offsets the front end & I can option a manual RWD variant, but I would never opt to illuminate the damn thing. |

What a fantastic idea. Let's take the polarizing, bucktooth grille and find a way to call even more attention to it. Other drivers at least got a break from seeing it at night. No more. It's now a 24-hour pleasure.

I've seen backlit grille's done right, just a very subtle glow, but when this came out I was like WOW, how nutty is it to draw attention to that area? Off the charts.

The version BMW is doing here just feels weird. Illuminating the grill would make more sense if they were doing it a bit closer to what BMW did with the G30 version. https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/8...GRILLES-CHROME The idea being you’re highlighting the kidney grills in a distinctive way since they say BMW sort of how the Star says Mercedes. This one in this post just looks as awful as the oversized grill. |

That monstrosity of an automobile just got taken to a whole new level. But some on the 7 series section claim that more pedestrian models like 3s and 5s. Never thought that an m5 is pedestrian but we learn something new every day and than die stupid 😂

Looks awesome. I’m thinking about getting the iX for my wife. We don’t have an all electric vehicle. I think the grille would look great illuminated. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’re going to be able to get this SUV for a couple years because the line is so long to get it. It’s at least one-year wait in my area. Very popular.
I don’t think I would like to illuminate my M5 grille. Just a different type of car for that type of accessory in my opinion. But for the all electric iX absolutely. Looks kind of fitting actually. |

Saw an illuminated grill on the road last night. Looked odd to me, but it did stand out. I could see how people could like that. I wonder how the older grills would look if illuminated like that. Not sure if the grill is the problem or the illumination itself. For me, I feel the illumination is the issue.

I don't know man, I'm not really feeling the grill illumination.
Would rather get a louder color like LBB, Dakar yellow or IOMG than have an illuminated grill, but different strokes, I guess. As long as there's a button to turn it off or ideally, not option it or be forced to pay for it. |

Kinda reminds me of what some kid would have done to a Civic a decade ago.
Anyone not liking it better be careful. You'll be called old and stuck in the past, told to deal with it, told all companies are doing it, told it's actually quite beautiful, told you're dumb if you don't buy a car because you think it's ugly, have high sales mentioned as justification for it, and so on. It's the numb handling / heavy as hell car subject with a different title! |
