Outside edge of passenger worn

Hi all, I have a 2018 530i, My front tires have about 36000 miles on them and I am noticing that only the very outside of the Passenger tire is wearing much faster than the rest, The rest of the tire has plenty of rubber and the driver tire is also doing pretty good.
Is this type of wear common with this model?
Could it be I need an Alignment?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

I’m not a mechanic but that doesn’t sound correct to me
So it’s just the passage er side , the driver side is ok presumably

Does the car track straight?

It sounds like an alignment issue to me it as I say I’m no mechanic.

Correct, Only the Passenger side very outer edge. I'm going to have to order some new tires just because of it. I wasn't sure if this os somehow normal. And apparently only the dealer can do the alignment and they charge $275.

Wut? Why can it only be done at the dealer? ...or is it just that that particular shop can't do it? I'd be surprised if BMW specialist shops wouldn't be able to manage an alignment. I didn't have to go to the dealer to get my e90 aligned. I'm sure there have been some updates to the suspension but I can't imagine it's all that different.

Also presumably tyre pressures are ok. If it was under inflated, I’d expect both outsides of the tyre to be worn as the weight would be resting on the sidewalks as opposed to the middle , if you get my drift rather than one side
.

BMW adds a certain weight to the driver's seat during the alignment that most shops don't. $275 for an alignment at the dealer ain't half bad.

FFS. I can sit in the car, if that's all it is. lol. ...or have one of the shop guys site in the car for 10 mins for that part.

...or, hell, I can buy 200lbs of Sacrete from Home Depot and put it in there, then return it when I'm done. lolol

Thank you all for the input, there's a reputable indie shop here in town and he is the person to only do it at the dealer beacause of various sensors that come into play when alignment is done. He also mentioned something about reseting the steering angle, I was wondering if theres anyone that has had an alignment done somewhere other than the dealership and had positive results.

If the tyre had correct pressure and it its the only affected tyre on the car, to me it seems like alignment issue. And I do not believe only BMW dealer can do it right. I have done it several times (alright, other car brands). I would use a decently equipped indie shop. Never heard of "putting weight on drivers side" while doing an alignment (but I am not a mechanic). I suppose aligning all cars would be similar in principle, why would BMW be any different in this?
