Think she's out of focus, haha.

What are you using?

50D with a 24-70L, and you are right...I didn't notice until I opened them on the computer. The strange thing is I can't find anything that's sharp in that pic...

All of your photos are looking disturbingly soft for the aperture you're shooting at. Maybe something's wrong with the camera, or even me?

I'm almost certain that it's camera shake. The 24-70mm doesn't have IS so you need a fast shutter speed or be extremely steady. Since the 24-70mm is a pretty heavy lens, it takes some getting use to for it to be stable.

Ah that's right, the first photo was shot at 1/25th of a second. I don't know if the 50D has this feature but if it does, keep your ISO on Auto or keep it around 250. 100 seems a bit low in those lighting conditions.

The second photo was shot faster than 1/100th of a second which should be more than enough for a sharp photo...

I thought the same thing about the softness, but I was really not paying much attention. They were all hand held and I really hope it's not my lens. Twitchy, how do you know what my settings were? Does the metadata stay with the pics?

So it looks like it is camera shake, as most of my shutter speeds are really low. For some reason I remember 1/60 being the slowest speed for hand held, but apparently that doesn't work for me with this rig. Looks like a lot of practice is in order...
