I prefer the F10. It's absolutely gorgeous. But the G30 looks great as well.

Both are beautiful cars, but when looking at the G30, the F10 looks a bit dorky especially with the pre-LCI headlights. The G30 looks more refined and aggressive. I prefer the back of the F10 though.

Doesn't it seem like BMW is going backwards in styling. Think of this. The F10 I had looks a lot like a Modern E39. The new G30 looks a lot like the model before the E39, the E34. From the rear and design to the front end how the headlights context to the grill like the E34 did. ?

At least, you could have used in the comparison the F10 LCI with the LED and also the full digital cluster...unless you wanted to put something in evidence..

A sum of subtle changes makes the old design age gracefully and the new car so mature and modern that you got to love both. The new one is, in one word, SHARP.
And the important bit is that the G30 easily holds its ground against upcoming Audis, and is infinitely more engaging in design than the E-class.

I will have interior of G30 in F10.
F10 is so beautiful and G30 is very subtle! IMO LCI e60 was best when looking at exterior. Its design was way ahead of time and it sill looks great in M sports disguise. Well, still better than Merc E class.

The E34 headlights did not touch the kidney grills. Yes, they touched "grill" because the entire fascia surrounding the lights was grill, as with the preceding generations. However the kidneys were still narrow and the headlights were way out at the corners. With the E36 E38 and E39, BMW went away from that "all-grill" look and the kidneys became the only grill at headlight level, separated from the headlights by sheetmetal. Now with the most recent generations from F3x and up, even the SUVs, the sheetmetal gap is taken away for what is meant to be a more aggressive look. I agree the G30 makes the F10 look a little dorky.. lol. But I still do like the rear of the F10. Oh and I'm overjoyed to see that the hood now meets the kidneys. I hate that seam running across behind the roundel on F30, F10 etc. |

F10 was one of the best looking recent BMWs. I loved my F10. it must've been a tough task but somehow BMW carried out G30 very well that looks even better than F10.

I always hated the hood cut line to the bumper on the F10 so, G30 is a huge improvement in my mind just because of eliminating that issue. That aside I do think the G30 looks just a bit more crisp all the way around.

Seems F10 (not that I think it looks better) was given no chance here, just look how new one with nice metallic paint job looks new and more "crisp/clean" comparing to all white. Last edited by Bbb34; 10-13-2016 at 09:08 AM.. |
