MSR Houston
Are there any members to the track here? I went out there today for a half day with my wife and it was awesome. Just seeing if there are any members or any interested in becoming one.

If you wanted to run your car you can come anytime as long as there isn't a private event going on. He said appox 275 days a year it is open to members. You can bring guest to ride with you or drive your car. If the guest wants to drive their own it is like $150.00 bucks.
You can do the Driver's edge event or other driving events but I don't feel comfortable with others on the track next to me that could possible damage my car. Those events typically run $100.00 and you don't get nearly as much track time. This past Thursday when I was there were a total of 4 cars on the track including myself and the instructors. The other 2 were pro driver's racing their Miata and testing them. |

I just spoke to Kurt at MSR, very nice guy. Price is $5k to start, then a monthly fee of $275 (roughly). Not cheap, but the course is open 270+ days a year to members and at least half the weekends in a calendar year.
If we get a group of 2+ he can work with us on the initiation fee. Depending on # of people discounts of $250-1K can be available. For $150 you can take your car out see if the track is what you expect. If you end up signing up, that $150 is credited to your account. I'm on the fence with this. Its not cheap, but a track at your disposal most days a year? Either way, I'll be keeping this from the wife.

Just talked to Kurt at MSR,he's willing to negotiate.
For a group of three,he'll drop the initiation fee to $3k. How's that? If we can gather even more people,we could perhaps lower it to $2.5 k... |

Are we talking 3 or 4 people total m3sohorny?
Am thinking we can go and ask but we would need commitment from all in short timeframe. $250/ month and 2.5k for 5 looks fair to me |
