Front Plate Mount Options

Hi everyone! My 23MY Skyscraper M550i is on the boat! Anxious for its arrival and trying to order parts for it.

I’m a current owner of a e90zcp with an ESS VT2-650 kit (instagram: Hyped_m3) and added this G30 to the stable.

I’m never a fan of the front plates. My current M3 is installed with a hideaway plate.

So here’s the question. What are you guys running? Anyone running hideaway? tow mounted? Any pics and info would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to run no plate? It's illegal here in California, but 50% of us do it anyways.

When I purchased my '21 m550, the BMW dealer in Florida gave me a front bracket but the front plate is not used here. I never looked at it and I'm not sure if it's clip on with preexisting holes or it needed to be drilled.

Also when I lived in Ohio I had a BMW without a front plate (out of state purchase) and refused to mount one. I only got a ticket once in the last 3 years I was there with the missing plate.

The Front plate bracket for the G30 gets screwed on with self tap screws. I told the dealer not to put the bracket on when I purchased the car. They used zip ties on the paper dealer plate and told me to I could cut them off once I pulled off the lot.

A few of us are using Sto N Show plate. It mounts underneath to the front lip using 2 screws that hold the lip onto the car. You can take the plate on/off in 3 seconds. No drilling.

thanks you guys! Anyone used the tow hook mount? Im iffy on that since the plate is off to one side and not centered. Would drive me off the chart.

Actually, the better question would be. Does the side mount/tow mount bracket gets in the way of the parking sensors?

I think it does block 1 sensor.

It does interfere with 1 sensor and randomly goes off which gets annoying.

I got the sto n sho but i didnt install the square holder.

I just slide the plate with the 2 arms between my lip and bumper when parking on the street. I take it off when driving. I dont normally park on the street but when I do, i just slide it on real quick.
