G30 apple CarPlay

Hi all.

After watching Chris Harris update his E60 M5 with CarPlay it’s made me want to
Upgrade.

I have a 2018 G30 520d M-Sport. I contacted connected drive and they confirmed that I cannot purchase CarPlay from BMW.

Can anyone recommend options to get this added without losing the information stored in the I drive.

Based in Yorkshire

Any suggestions would be appreciated

If I had an iphone then would have used this firm to code carplay.

I wanted Android auto so installed an MMI box from Droid UK. Its excellent and easy to fit and also offers carplay.
