HUD shows speed limit as 40kmph

hello,

I've noticed recently that in any residential areas where I know the speed limit is 50kmph my HUD shows the speed limit box as 40kmph.
I'm in canada, if that makes any difference.
is there anything I can do to fix this?

Presumably it an error in the database for the satnav. No idea who you contact to report a bug , but that would be the thing to do if you feel strongly about it.

I only recall seeing a similar issue once here in the uk some years back, reported the speed limit as 80mph when it should be 30. Doubly odd as the highest speed limit in the uk is 70mph
Seem to recall it was fixed at the next map update

disagree on overriding
Particular road used to be 30 years ago, now 65….car shows stubborn 30, all the time I go that route. Camera reads signs well so no issue here.

There are embedded speed limits in the maps as well as car should read road signs and update, but it can error.

For Google maps, you can easily report errors. I cannot seem to find website that can do the same for BMW.

You should also check with dealership for software updates or KAFAS recalibration.
