Bimmercode
I bought the Bimmercode app and a Kiwi3 last week. Followed the instructions. Easy peasy.
While not life altering, I am very happy about eliminating the minor annoyances of (1) pressing the auto start/stop (ASS) button and (2) clearing the warning about using the iDrive system every time I get in the car. Thanks Bimmercode! |

If they flash your firmware, you're going to probably lose all of the stuff that you have coded. If I were you, I would probably put it back to factory before taking it over there so you don't have any problems.

I have read that, thank you!
I was thinking if it was possible by using expert mode? |

Basic mode walks you through all of the steps that are required for what you're wanting to code in a template/wizard format. Unless you speak German and know the values of what you want to change, use Expert mode with extreme caution! |

Yea, I understand.
I have been in the expert mode and looked for anything that maybe could be used to turn on the sidemarkers, but I never coded anything, just a look :-) I’m asking here if anyone has done this “sidemarkers” coding before and can tell me what parameters that needs to be changed. I have found some coding guidelines on other models, but not G30/31 |

Has anyone found or posted the "expert" code info to calibrate the speedometer?? There has to be a way to make it correct.
My 2019 RAM 1500 truck is 100% accurate. My wife's 2019 Honda CRV is 100% accurate. On my 2013 BMW 535ix there was a way to do it using the trip reset button and putting it into diag mode, then adjusting some values. |

As posted in another thread, I am just starting my coding journey with Bimmercode and an ODBLink MX+. This is with my F10 until I get a G30 in a couple of weeks.
My only "scare" was when I first changed a setting in the "Headunit" ECO as I noticed I had lost all my favorite button settings. After the initial panic, I see this is quite normal. Also, when changing a setting in the "Instrument Cluster" the mpg data was reset, including the range remaining. Adding a gallon of fuel though soon seemed to get sensible readings back. Scary to start, but OK when you know what to expect My question though, do any of the other ECUs cause "user" data like this to get reset? |

Has anyone had success using other adaptors besides the OBDLink or UniCar Scan which Bimmercode website states is needed for G series cars?

The performance is better and more consistent than the other adapters. That's why some features require them. They maintain their connection better.
