335 doesnt perform as well during....
warmer/humid weather conditions? yesterday the car was very slow and revving it above 5k rpm was a miracle to pull off...anyone else have the same problem?

That sounds really bad, but thats Heat Soak for ya. That is a Turbo/SC cars enemy is heat. Bigger FMIC and Aquamist!

Generally speaking, hot moist air is bad, cold dry air is good. Air pressure also plays a role in normally aspirated cars as it impacts the air/fuel mixture. If you Google "Dyno correction factors" you will see formulas to calibrate for air density and atmospheric pressure. Forced air induction (your turbo 335xi) overcomes atmospheric pressure by forcing air into your engine by means of the exhaust driven turbocharger. Intercooler performance is also reduced since difficult to cool the turbocharger pressurized hot air when the ambient air is also also hot.
All sorts of sensors inline to help achieve ideal air/fuel mixtures but you will indeed feel a difference. Your air conditioner blasting also doesn't help due to the parasitic load the compressor puts on the engine. |

all turbo cars lose power due to heat soak, although the 335i is better prepped than others. not being able to rev above 5k? that's not normal. if you're exaggerating, ok. if not, take it to the dealer.

high ambient air temps + high humidity = less dense air
your car cannot dissipate the heat nor can it utilize dense air for combustion resulting in sub par performance simple grade school physics |

Couldnt have said it better myself. This is the big problem with FI cars. See most people who track prefer NA cars because of the big problem due to heat. There is alot of FI cars but they usual are a big headache and can run in problems and lots of $$$$. Heat is the biggest enemy when it comes to an engine. It just becomes more prone to FI cars due to the enormus amounts of heat generated without humidity in the air. So add the normal operating heat from the FI car and now add extreme amount of humidity and heat that is in the air. Not a good combo. This is why extra amounts of cooling is a must on these cars if you plan on running them hard. Just my .02

As everyone else stated performance drop is to be expected. However "revving it above 5k rpm was a miracle to pull off." that doesn't sound right....

thanks for all the advice here...i know the car performance will drop when air conditions are hot and humid....but should it be to a point when I hard accelerate, it is the same as, pushing the gas pedal half way?....the car refuses to go any faster.
As some of you said this might be something that I need to check out with dealership...but i only have this problems during bad weather conditions and the dealership wont take a look without an appointment...ill have to time it right anyone here have this problem as well? with or without jb3 or any other ecu tunes?

I'm stock and no issues anywhere near what you describe. There is a noticeable performance difference for someone in tune with their car but the average driver probably wouldn't even notice it. Check your iDrive service menu for any fault codes and take it in regardless. If you have it chipped, then the sensor mappings done by whatever module you are using could actually be part of the problem. You should convert to stock if you can first and see if the issue remains.

Check it again this week if you can - the temps are smoking until Friday in Central Canada. A turbo really shouldn't be affected by less dense air. Also check you oil temps. They shouldn't staying at the 6 o'clock position. Power loss like you're describing doesn't sound normal. You are using premium gas? (had to ask... LOL)

That's pretty irresponsible answer, hopefully it was sarcasm.
