Yup. I have a 240 Volt unit on a 20 AMP circuit (All I had room for) and I still go from "0" or "---" to a full charge in 1 hour and 55 minutes.

But I do have to exercise my left arm (thank goodness I am left handed) to remove the cable from its holding unit and plug it into the car.

Wicked cool if it works! Nicola Tesla would be proud.

I really dig the modern house/architecture in the promo video.

We are just catching up here in America.

In Tokyo they have wireless charging available at the airport and I've seen multiple brands from Toyota on up and different types of vehicles utilizing this free service.

One day America will catch up.

Signed up last Thursday and already heard back from QMerit. Their engineers are doing some research so should be a go pretty soon for me.

Anyone know if you can get this if I started my lease in Nov 2018?
My car is a 2018 model, if that matters.
My dealer lost interest when I told them I have a car already.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I'm getting 2020MY 530e soon. I haven't heard anything about wireless charging included or as option.

I'm hoping this is fitted on the car by default, but I guess that's not going to happen..

Did you find out if it works on your car? I cant get a straight answer from BMW about it.. they dont think i do but not sure. I thought all 530es came with it preinstalled so when the pads came out it would work?

In my case the charger is in my garage adjoining the left side of my car. Plugging in the charger is not so onerous that I need to go wireless.

So it was approved. They came out to make sure my house could be wired and everything. Then they said our local dealer will call me to get the pad but instead they try to sell me a new car. None of the 530e's come ready for the pad. You have to either order it with the option or dealer has one already with it. Looks like a ploy to get people to get into a new one.

yep i think thats what i am figuring out, theres only 200 cars that you have to lease new. Its so lame i assumed the 530es came pre-equipped for this. I was ready to jump on board being in the pilot area.
