JB4 tune on M550xi

Hey guys,

can anyone share their experience with this tune. I'm looking to get it done on my car just wondering what are your thoughts. I like this tune because it can be removed with out trace.

I have this tune, it's coming out this weekend. It's extremely glitchy, puts the car in limp mode as well as occasional overboost sending the car into drivetrain malfunction. The car cannot be driven in manual mode because it runs too lean or will overboost. I had high AFR's and emailed about 2 dozen logs back and forth with burger tuning and the car still runs extremely lean. I'm going with a DME tune now. And for the removable aspect, it can be removed, not exactly easily but can be done. If you happen to pop the motor or blow a turbo the dealer can pull the logs and see the car was operating outside of factory tune spec's thus voiding your warranty. Any tune/piggyback or DME can be detected.

Thank you for your response I really appreciate it. What got me second guessing is after reading "the small print" it said on there that you could get cel due to maf sensors being disconnected and apparently miss fire can happened as well that's why they recommend changing plugs and coils every 15k-20k miles. I'm gonna check out that other tune that you mentioned.

You don't have to disconnect MAF sensors. I believe this car doesn't even have those, that was for previous gen N63tu Jb4, not our N63tu2.

As far as tune goes, it works fine for me, no issues so far. With the Bluetooth kit it's pretty convenient too. You can turn off the tune any time. I run dme flash as a backend flash and Jb4 on top.

Terry is super responsive over email, if you have any issues with Jb4 just ask him directly.
