295/35/19 too tall for 255/40/19? And poor wheel balancing
Hi guys,
two fold question . Got my new forged wheels and tires installed on my 540ix. 19/8.5 ET25 with 255/40s and 19/10 ET41 with 295/35s 1. According to every single calculator online these tires should be witing 2mm of each other e.g. here - the back should be 1.25mm higher. The shop told me they were much higher. I measured them at 675mm front and 680mm back. So half a centimeter. That has me worried for transfer case. Did I somehow miscalculate? Or maybe tires not inflated enough? Should I switch on 19s for 285/35 back on my 255/40 front? 2. Guys said that they had to put 60-100grams of weights to balance the wheels. Normally they say its 20-30 - even on not so good wheels. Does this mean the wheels are poorer quality? I was suprised as they are custom made forged ones :// Thanks a ton! |
