I'm thinking the same, too. I'm sure Cali has quite the demand right now but I ordered first week of July and got it less than 7 weeks later. The longest the car spent in limbo was a week while awaiting a carrier but judging by the tracking info., it reached port the day of or after the last carrier left port. It was on the next carrier after that.

I'm in Chicago so while it's no Cali, it's not a small market either. Maybe my dealer was lucky and had plenty of allocations and I got in at the right time. But waiting from July to November just to start production and then take delivery in February, like OP, is quite the delay.

My order date was Nov 13, and I received an allocation yesterday Nov 27.
Production starts end of December.
Then roughly 2 months before it arrives?

Mine went into production on 11/2, just arrived in port of New Jersey today. So looks like about 4-5 weeks after it enters production depending on when it gets on a ship

Probably mid to end of February. Mine is supposedly on the way to the dealer and I'm at three months since I ordered it.

That's probably more realistic. My sales rep said January, but I don't think she was including transit time from Germany. If it was South Carolina maybe.

I went into production on 11/21 and VIN assigned on 11/23, still there on mybmw. Genius tells me week car will be built week 49 which is this week. Expecting 4-6 weeks after production is complete for delivery so anytime between 12/31 and 1/15 . Lets see.
