Active Grill Shutter

Just got my 2018 540i yesterday

I ordered Gloss Black Kidney Grilles but I just noticed that the active grille shutter flaps have chrome strips on them (must be part of the luxury package?)

What all have you done to black these out?

I personally ordered a black grill from Amazon for like 50 bucks. The quality seemed pretty similar to OEM. 🤷🏻&zwj;♂️

A steady hand, some black paint, and a small paintbrush seemed to do the trick!

Try a black sharpie, or grab a paint pen off Amazon.

HD IC Stock intake(had open before and was sick of noise) BMS CP 550i 351m rims with 275/245 set up. No tune as of yet.
