Cracking/Crazing of BMW badges

I just noticed the big BMW badges front and back have cracks inside them. This happened on my 12yo BMW so I've seen it before but this car is a June 2020 demo.

Is this is something they'd do under warranty?

Thanks

I had the same issue and they replaced them under warranty without any fuss.

If there is one thing that a car manufacturer wants pristine, it is their badge! The last thing BMW corporate would want is someone driving around with a cracked badge.

Hmmm....I'll have to look at mine. I wonder what causes it? Got a picture of yours? How it gets fixed under warranty as hollpe's was.--Bob

I ended up debadging the model number etc. and every attempt to photograph the bmw badges doesn’t work.

Will let you know what the dealer says..

For me, when I picked my car I noticed some sort of glue on the badges. Only the dot on the i was clean. After about 100 miles of driving, the top half of the 5 is clean. I’m assuming I could just spend some time cleaning it, but I’ll just let it happen naturally.
