I have a perfectly good set of BMW alloys from my last car, 18” wheels that are fitted with 225/45/18 tyres. Is it possible to use these on my new 520d? Ideally I’d like to use them in the winter to put winter tyres on and rotate the wheels between summer and winter. My current set on the 5 series are 19” on a staggered setup but I know you can get it with 18” (and 20”!!). I know nothing about offset apart from I’ve heard about it but this might prevent them fitting? If not, I guess I’ll have to sell them and look for a set of g31 wheels. Cheers.

The newer G series cars have different bolt pattern and center bore. Your F30 wheels will not fit on the G30. Unless you get adapters/spacers but it's not safe or recommended. Also the tires are much narrower.

I thought that might be the case. Thanks for your help. Time to sell some wheels and buy new ones!!
