I don't know. The ripped skinny jeans is a bigger offense IMO.

Both are a big offense but the pink soles are manly.

This guy probably went to the same design school as Chris Bangle. Another major failure in BMW design. No wonder he can't find a job as a designer for another auto company.

No, the big and tall grills are justified because that's how BMW grills started (they weren't wider than their height until the E36 was introduced in 1990), BMW wants the M cars to stand out from the mainline 3/4 Series, BMW has a history of evolving its design (especially as technology evolves).

No, the big and tall grills are justified because that's how BMW grills started (they weren't wider than their height until the E36 was introduced in 1990), BMW wants the M cars to stand out from the mainline 3/4 Series, BMW has a history of evolving its design (especially as technology evolves).

Except the big grilles aren't reserved for only the M line. Not sure what point you're trying to make

Cringey video IMO.

I think it's universally accepted that the i3 is a pretty ugly car. Years ago I went to an i3 release event, and the BMW dealer had an Isetta parked next to the i3. It was almost as if BMW was trying to convince all of us that since they had built an ugly, egg shaped car once before it was we should accept them doing it again. This video screams of that same mentality.

The old BMWs, and most of the competitor vehicles, were built taller in the front end so the grilles worked for those cars. Now cars are lower and more horizontal in the front so the vertical grilles are discordant (IMHO).

@SteveinArizona, that is true but it's also worth mentioning that today's cars are required by European pedestrian safety regulations to have flatter and more upright front ends than they did in the 1990s and 2000s. So we've gone from high to low to medium. Maybe that factored into the design considerations...
