UK Dealer 540i expected Disc and pad costs?

Hi All,

I've recently bought a 540i xdrive with the m sport brakes, blue calipers. 20" inch wheels, it's sitting at 21000 miles. So I'm expecting to put pads it on around 30000 miles but I was wondering what others in the UK have been paying for brakes? Whats the expected costs for pads or pads and brakes?

More just curiousity as it's still a while off yet!

Slightly offtopic, but I would expect the brakes to last for a lot longer than 30K miles (45K-ish km).

That's good to hear - I'd read 30k for the pads and 60k for the discs.

Unfortunately my rear pads and discs were replaced at 40k - cost around £400 after discount.

Front brakes needed pads and discs at 62k - cost £600 including replacing brake fluid - due at 60k this was also discounted. I don’t drive the car hard - think it’s down to weight of car/brake setup. My only disappointment with the car is I’ve always felt the car is under braked.

Hope this helps.
