Front brake pad indicator on at 49k miles 2018/530i
BMW quotes me $2,200 for 50k service and front pad and rotors. He stated they must replace the rotors with the pads? I still don't see how I need brakes at 50k but I do use the adaptive cruise all the time.
Rotors $253 each Pads $250 And all items listed on 50k service. This seems a bit excessive! Thought? |

I can see in the service history, that my G31 (with ACC) had the front and rear pads replaced at 50K (km) service. I bought it just after that, so what the reason is, I don´t know - it seems early to me as well. Maybe the ACC is just hard on the brakes?
My previous car, a Skoda Superb, was sold at 120K (km) with the original brakes still fine - that had ACC as well, and I used it all the time.
