Lotus Evija: Exclusive First Drive - Top Gear
The nicest LOTUS since the Esprit! The power is undeniable. But I like the fact that Lotus has returned to their roots, with a obvious emphasis on handling.
It definitely looks the part.

I love some of what Lotus has done, and have lurked around the Elise and thought long and hard about it. But this has zero appeal to me.

Little different market between a $45k Celica motored car and a $2M EV. Not saying I really get the appeal either but they're playing so far out of their league here that I'd assume we'll be hearing about another set of owners and a new product plan before this vapor ware disappears.

Absolute crap. Lotus has long lost their way. $2+M dollars for a stupidly heavy car. "For the drivers" my ass. For rich people that won't drive it.
I'll stick with a real Lotus, you know, one that Colin Chapman would be proud of; my Exige. |
