Hi everyone, sorry for reviving this old thread. I'm a new owner of a 2018 BMW 520i G30 (upgraded from an F10, which I had to let go due to government regulations on vehicle ownership).

I'm loving the car, but I'm not fond of the standard headlights (5A2 without HBA). I found a used set of 522 headlights locally and decided to retrofit them for a better look. My mechanic handled the coding, but we encountered an open-circuit fault, which left him puzzled. He’s done plenty of retrofits, but this issue is new to him.

Has anyone here experienced something similar or have any ideas on what might be causing this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!


p.s.: car is a parallel import model to Singapore. Originally from UK.
