For 530e driver in the US: I just took delivery of my build today. It comes with the 110v cable. I have an outlet that has been wired for 240v in one spot for exactly this purpose so I want to use it ... what's the cheapest way to get the Level 2 charger? Does BMW sell a good one? It kind of pisses me off it didn't come standard...

I believe there are third party chargers. But unless you don't have a 110 circuit, if you only charge overnight there is no advantage to the 240 charge.

Looking into chargers now. There are many options, still waiting to get the BMW quote for a Level 2 charger. My main house is wired for 110v, being in America and all, but the previous occupant installed a level two outlet outside of the house near the driveway for exactly this purpose (he had a Chevy Volt). Charging over twice as fast is way more convenient. For example, coming home from work and maybe I want to go out later ... it will be nice to get a significant charge in a couple of hours. The 110v is slow. as. f. The Level 2 charger at work recharged my ride in a little over 2 hours this AM.

Will let you know what I find ... but I am all ears for Level 2 recommendations if anyone has one.

Given that you already have an outlet, a level 2 charger makes sense.

I recommend Juicebox Pro or Chargepoint.

I have a Juicebox 40. I've been happy with it thus far. It's nice to have a connected box to find out how much electricity you've used in a given month x whatever your electric company charges per kw.

I don't have any other experience with any of the others though...
