Interior wood color

Can't stand the dark wood in my car, I'm not 75 yrs old and think it's cool. Like to get the dash and door panels wrapped in black. Looks like it may be a bit involved to get those panels out with those upper and lower led strips. Anyone done this?

BMW has made it much more difficult to take the trims out, it can be done but I'm sure would be a pain.
Saw a wrap job in my friend's car, I believe it was done while the trims were in the car, honestly did not like it.

Hello,

I tried to swap wood also. Turns out the wood on the door is riveted into the door card. Nothing is impossible however it's virtually impossible to get the wood off the door card. Literally was at it about two hours.

The dash panels pull right out. The LED strips are glued in place, I don't remember if it's epoxied or plastic welded. The door cards are the same, one piece with trims attached. Just pull off the dash pieces and door cards and wrap them.

There is a workaround for fixing this. They sell carbon fiber covers that you can stick on top of your trim. Haven't seen them in person so I'm not sure how the fit and finish looks in the flesh, but I would definitely try this option.

Sounds like a good solution. Do you know where to get these covers?
