There is official information of LL-04 spec suitable for diesel engine however they also emphasis "DPF" compatibilities....Indeed most of LL-04 engine does not mentioned that even show up the info of DPF.....
see below: BMW Longlife-04 (BMW LL-04)Special BMW approval for fully synthetic long-life oil. Viscosities are SAE 0W-30, 0W-40, 5W-30 and 5W-40. Usually required for BMWs equipped with a diesel particulate filter (DPF). Can also be used where a BMW Longlife-98 or BMW Longlife-01 oil is recommended. Could anyone tell us should I choose "DPF" as priorities then LL-04 or LL-04 standard already equipped and meet certain requirement which from BMW officially. Best regards, Stanley |

I prefer to change oil every 15.000km using only one of the the best oil to keep your engine in the best shape (filters T use from such manufactures - MANN, Mahle or Bosch)

When standing in front of the car, it´s on the right side towards the firewall. You need to remove the engine cover.

Hello, Is it a problem to order Oil and filters by myself and go to a regular car service rather than to a BMW Dealer.
Does the BMW Dealer register the services somewhere in BMW servers ? |

but you can call your local dealer service and ask if you can buy a deliver oil by yourself (as even original oil is at least 2x cheaper in the oil shop) and let them do the rest (but they can say no of course)! |

The dealer will not accept your oil. Use the BMW 5w30 (OE BMW 83212365933) Made by Shell. In Romania all use this oil. It is much better that the old Castrol Bmw 5w30. I use on 4 Bmw f10 that i had. No problem!
